Question
About 8 months ago a little white wild cat showed uo with one of my other strays, after getting able to touch her and let her in the house I got her fixed in Nov.2005, she and the other fixed male are always together and on Jan.23,2006 he came home without her about 5:30pm and I have looked in ditches, put up flyers and drove and walked looking for her, Several neighbors ahve seen her and one ladt seen her being chased by her dog about 12 days ago. I have found other strays in barns and all the neighbors have lots of cats roaming around. Then I found out we have coyotes. I just need to know how to look for her in the woods and tall weeds and make sure she is not hurt, she is wearing a collar so I just need to know if there is any way possible I will find her alive? I am still looking and refuse to give up. Any advice?
Thanks, Barbara

Answer
Barbara,

The odds are that she is gone.  Either she has been caught by a predator, run over by a car, or, possibly, taken in by another family.

On the other hand, you can leave your garage door open a bit (so she could get in) and leave some food down for her (all the strays will feast, I am sure), and, maybe, just maybe, she will come back.

Unfortunately, the longer she is gone the less chance there is that she will come back.

Good luck & best regards... Norm.
