Litter Trays

Hi Lisa,

Do you know how we can train our two 6 month old kittens to use the cat flap on the litter tray?  They happily use the tray when the door is off, but when I put it on they seem scared and poo on the floor.  

They also don't know how to use the cat flap to get  outside.

I hope that you can advise!

it really just takes alot of time and patience. if the flap is in two parts that hang down, let one side hang down and fold the other up on top of the litter box roof and lay something on it to hold it up there. if its in one big piece, well in the past i just pushed my cat into the box and they had to figure out how to get out of it. i will tell you this tho. that flap really serves no purpose, it does not keep odor in
