irradiated kittiy?

My four y.o. silver tabby just loves to keep me company by
sleeping on top of my fairly large--and warm--computer monitor
when I'm here working at it. I am wondering what the chances are that
he would be adversely affected by any radiation eminating from the
monitor?

If they do, then I have several cats in trouble!  Mine have been sleeping on my monitor for years.  They still seem to be as playful and healthy as ever.  I doubt there is enough (if any) radiation from computers to affect them at all.  I really do not think you have anything to worry about.  Good luck.
