Question
My cat Ellie has been diagnosed with round worms repeatedly.  The medication from the vet is a powder and Ellie only eats dry food.  I have tried everything from putting it in solid albacore,  mushing her dry food and putting medication in that to diluting it in water and trying to inject it in her mouth with a syringe. Nothing has worked. She never gets enough of the medication to kill the worms. I called the vet and asked if there was a pill available but since the doctor is on vacation the nurses said they usually only gave the powder for worms.  Do you know of a pill used to kill round worms in cats?  Thank you.

Answer
Hello Pat,

I am not a vet, I suggest asking your question in the ask the vet category.  But until then I know of several pills/liquids for deworming I just don't know if they will target round worms.  There is strongid, droncet, drontal, panacure etc, there really are tons of meds if you do a search online you should come up with quite a few more.  There are also natural remedies to killing off worms but you need to go to a hollistic vet for acurate dosing since overdose (as with regular medications) can be dangerous.
