Spider plants and cats

Question
I have a spider plant that my 8 year old Siamese cat likes to chew on. Spider plants are non-toxic to cats right? Thanks for your help.

Answer
Hi, Tara.  Yes, spider plants are completely safe for cats to ingest.  As with ANY item (including catnip), if she eats it in excess, it could cause her to throw up.  But it is non-toxic and won't cause her any damage.  Your plant is in more danger than your cat is!
