QuestionMy cat was adopted from an animal rescue shelter and loves to have her head and ear rubbed and once you start she doesn't want you to stop. However, she dislikes having any other area on her rubbed or scratched. Does this indicate a history of being abused by her former owner?
AnswerHi Bob!
I wouldn't think so. My cats also love to have their heads and ears rubbed. They don't seem to mind having their backs stroked, but the head is their favorite place. I think your cat is just letting you know that the head is where she prefers the attention.
Thank you, by the way, for adopting your cat from a rescue shelter!!
God Bless,
Becky
