MY CAT INSISTS ON ME FACING HER

My cat sleeps in my bed with me. I always sleep on my side. My cat will jump on the bed and lay down near my face always with me facing her. When I roll over on my opposite side she immediately gets up and will cross over to the other side of the bed so I am facing her again. Why does she insist I always be facing her?

Hi, Bob.  Isn't that a funny quirk?  It's actually very common.  No one can be sure, since cats don't talk, but it seems that cats do this because the rhythm of our breathing is soothing.  If you have other animals that she cuddles with, you will probably notice they almost always sleep face-to-face for the same reason.
