My kittens legs

Question
My cat had two kittens 4 weeks ago.  One of the kittens legs go outwards like a frogs. I have just been to see the vet and he said he hadn't seen this in kittens before, but he had seen it in dogs and they call it swimmers legs. He told me there was nothing he can do because the kitten is so young. This kitten seems to be otherwise healthy.  The kittens mother is not herself, it is like she is trying to tell me something, she keeps comeing to me and meowing, I've tryed everthing, but I don't know what is wrong.  I think she maybe trying to tell me there is something wrong with the kitten, could this be what she is trying to tell me? and can you give me any advice about my kittens legs.  I think my vet thought I was trying to get rid of the kitten, this is not so.

Please can you help, Thank You.

Lisa

Answer
go to a different vet.

sounds like muscular problems to me. try holding the kitten under the armpits, and put your other hand under its back feet and bounce its back legs up and down to work the muscles, maybe this will make those leg muscles stronger.

good luck
