no going to the bathroom at all

Question
We adopted a 1 year old Toyger and she has not gone to the bathroom at all.  I smell no urine of feces and she is confined to 1 room.  Is this normal for a cat comming into new sourroundings or do I have a big problem?  Thank You

This is not abnormal.  However, one thing you can check on is what kind of litter the people you got your toyger from were using. She might want that litter rather than what you are providing.

Moving to a new territory is usually upsetting to cats, so she may not want to go quite yet until she feels more comfortable.  If this persist for a number of days, a trip to the vet would be warranted.
