Kitten and Dogs

i just got a kitten and we also have two dogs. the kitten is very scared and tries to attack our dogs.. what can i do..

I have a few questions that I'll need you to answer in order to help me get a more complete picture of what's happening here.

- How old is this kitten?

- What size are your dogs?

- How did you introduce the dogs and the kitten?

- Did the dogs immediately start sniffing the kitten when s/he came home?

- Are your dogs reliable when it comes to performing basic obedience commands even with distractions?

- Does this kitten have a safe place to go where s/he can be out of reach of the dogs or disappear into a room that the dogs don't have access to?

- Is this kitten vaccinated?

- Are the dogs vaccinated?

- Has this kitten had any exposure to dogs before coming into your home?

- How do the dogs react when the kitten goes after them?

- Are your dogs calm?

Once I have the answers to the above questions I'll most likely be able to offer you some tips about what needs to happen in order for everyone to be as calm as possible and minimize the risks that the dogs will hurt the kitten or vice versa.
