New mama cat

Our mama cat just had kittens 2 weeks ago. Our other female cat who has never had kittens seems to be helping to mother them. The mama doesnt seem to mind at all. She cleans them and quiets them when they cry. Is this normal and is it ok to let her do this?

yes this fine and is good for the kittens as they now have two adult cats to teach them how to be good cats etc. As long as the mother cat is fine with this i cannot see any harm in the situation. All cats sound happy.
