Question
I have 4 inside cats that do not go outside, and this is the 2nd time in a 3 year period where we have fleas inside our home.  Last time we bombed, gave them flea baths and frontlined them, and it solved the problem until now.  I am waiting for the frontline I ordered to come before we bomb.  I have treated all 4 of them a month ago, and they are super loaded with fleas.  Is this because I have not bombed yet?  The frontline doesn't seem to be doing anything.  What would you suggest, dipping the cats, frontlineing them, them bombing?  I want to solve this problem the best way.

Answer
Hi Mollie,

I don't usually like bombing a house. This can cause other problems in cats. Here's what I would do. Give them each a Capstar pill to kill the ones on them. Treat them with Frontline. Sprinkle Borax on your rugs. Vacuum with a flea collar in your vacuum's collection jar or bag. All these things will break the flea cycle. The Borax and the flea collar will kill the fleas and their eggs in your house. Within a few weeks all should be well. Good luck.
