Have you ever heard of Pyometra?

If you have, do you have information on older cats (10-11 years old) having surgery removing such a sickness? What are the chances of a healthy recovery, or a recovery at all?

Cats and Dogs (probably other animals too, can get this disease if they are not Spayed\Neutered puss fills up in to i guess a part of the body like the uterus and bladder.


Thanks so much! I think knowing about animals is so cool and i want to someday become a vet or help out animals anyway i can.

this article is about dogs, but im sure its the same for cats. sounds like a simple routine operation and your cat should do fine. i have a 15 yr old cat who had surgery last year and did just fine.
