I was thinking about getting a toyger, but I don't know if they need any special care or attention since they are a new breed of cat.Would they get along with other pets? What is an ideal age for a toyger to be adopted?

Nice looking cats. I don't have much info on them. What I would suggest is to contact a number of breeders and ask them the same set of questions. The answers that you get that are the same are you the ones I would use about these cats. Here's the link to Toyger organization. It has a good list of breeders. Good luck.
