8 week old kitten

hi there..

i have a 8 week old female kitten.  she is fully weaned and litter trained.  a few days ago my boyfriend and i had eaten a honeydew melon and she started eating the peel of it and then today, she was eating potatoes peels and raw potatoes.  i just wanted to know if this was ok.  she does eat her normal food, but for some reason this thing of her eating potatoes and melon are just concerning me.  if you could just put my mind at ease, that would be great.

Hi Nikki and thanks for being such a caring kitty mom!

If your kitten were older (say a year or more), I would say this would be ok - but this small of a kitten should be on a really good quality dry kitten food, with plenty of fresh water daily and non-clumping litter for a while more!

Once she get's older, it would be nice to see her eat some fruit and veggies : -)
