I was wondering if i could get your advice...

My boyfriend and I adopted Pepper (a short haired tortie) from the animal
shelter about 4 or 5 months ago. She is an indoor only cat, spayed, no illness
involved (we just took her to the vet). She is 9-10 months old, and she
absolutely will not stop peeing on our leather couch! Considering the fact
that she only pees in two specific spots on the couch, and the vet cleared her
for UTI and such, we have decided this is more than likely some sort of
behavior issue. We love her like a child, but her urinating outside of the litter
box has to stop and I simply don't know what to do. Her litter brand has not
changed, and we clean it once or twice daily, her surroundings have not
changed, nothing out of the ordinary has happened except this sudden
peeing out of the littler box. She only started doing this a couple of weeks
ago, but it has occurred often since. At first she did this in front of us, now
she only does it when we're not looking.
Every time she does this we wipe it up with water (she always pees in the
center crease of the couch), then scrub enzyme cleaner on it, and then spray
an anti-scratch spray we acquired from petsmart (the label said it had a citrus
scent that cat's hate). I am really at a loss for what to do, we have tried
leaving her in our bathroom with only her litter box, food, water, and a towel.
She does fine until we let her out and then she does it again. I am at a loss at
this point, I'm out of ideas. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

ummmm strange one. How long did you confine her to a single room with her litter tray? it must be for at three days and only being let out for her meals and then straight back, don't forget to spend some time with her in this room also that she doesn't feel neglected.

Also make sure her litter tray is kept in a place not near to her food and in an area where she will feel secure.
