cat declawed/ otc meds

Just got our male cat back from the vet and he was declawed ...is there any otc meds we can get if there is any discomfort?

Hey Terry,

There aren't any OTC that I know of that are safe for cats of any age except Kaopectate LOL which it sounds like your guy doesn't need.

Give him a day or two, then see how he feels.  I can tell you from experience twice now, if you give them too much "sympathy" after the first couple of days - Check first to make sure there is no REAL problems - He may begin to "act" like it's worse.  Been there, done that, spent many trips to our Vet who said it was time to stop, we did, the cat got attention some other way : -)
