Kitten Crying!!

QUESTION: Hi, we adopted a male kitten in January, he is the best.  He is a little quirky,
he sleeps in the sink, and he has gotten in the shower with me.  There are
two problems though.  One he eats like a cow.  He is 6 months and weighs 9
pounds.  He is always hungry,  we feed him probably 2 oz of food 5 times a
day.  Is that normal?  And the second question is, he wanders around the
house during the day crying, but when we play with him he is okay.  When we
adopted him he was with foster brothers and sisters.  I have been looking for
other kittens online for him to have as a playmate.  Anyways, now to my
question, would it be best for us to adopt a male or female kitten as his
playmate?

I don't know what type of food you are feeding him. Is it dry food? And what type is it? Write back and let me know. I'll be able to help you better there.

He is training you with his crying. He cries, you pet him. Be careful or he will become a constant crier.

Get a neutered male for him. They get along the best together. Good luck and let me know about the food.

QUESTION: Hi Karen, we originally started him on Purina, then he went to science food
diet, and then he had lost all his teeth so we have been giving him Whiskas.  
The Purina and Science food were both solids but since he was having a hard
time eating the solids we have given him the soft stuff.

Hi Kim,

It's time to change him over to a better diet. He isn't getting his nutritional needs met. I attaching a link to a review of canned cat foods that I feel he would do great on. Follow the feeding instructions on the cans as to how much he should get. These foods will do him great. This should take care of his hunger problem. He will be getting his needs met. Good luck.
