how do I get breeders license in Orange County, CA

Question
I have been looking on web all day, and can't seem to find out what to do.  I have a two year old female unspayed Abyssinian that I love so much. Prior to getting fixed (AB1634 law), I want to have one litter for friends/family.  Her parents were purebred from a friend bought at Russo's Pet store, and I can get papers if needed.  How do I get a breeder's permit, so as not to get into trouble.  My husband has been very sick, and my Abby and her (altered) brother have been our joy... All my life I prayed for an Abby, and would love to have one litter, for cats for two friends, if she has two (she is small, 7.5 pounds), and just the joy of my life.  Bless you, Victoria

Answer
Hi Victoria,

I'm sorry I don't know anything about breeder's licenses, I do more spaying and neutering of cats than anything else. I think there are a couple of Experts who specialize in breeding, though, so check the individual profiles for the right person.  You might also check with the local CFA (Cat Fanciers Association) in your area, you should be able to find them on the web.
