Bad Kitty Urinating on Beds!

Question
Hi!
I have a 10 month old indoor male kitten named Cinders. He's not neutered and is a mixed breed. He is one of 4 cats in my home. There is a 8 year old neutered male, and 2 2yr old females (one is his mother, the other is his aunt). I've hand raised him from birth, he was slow to get used to the litterbox but appears to have been using it consistently EXCEPT for when he decides to use the middle of a human bed instead! Cinders urinates in the center of human beds repeatedly. I have tried to discipline him immediately after I've caught him in the past, and he runs scared. He knows he has misbehaved. 2 days ago, I had JUST changed My sheets, I walked into the kitchen to take something out of the microwave, and in that moment of time he'd already hopped on My bed and urinated on it. I came into the office a bit ago, and saw he had once again urinated on the guest bed.
I don't know why he's exhibiting this behavior. I keep all 3 litterboxes in the home pretty clean usually, all of the other cats behave fine, and Cinders has no problem using the litterbox for #2...he just keep doing #1 on beds.
Could you please explain why Cinders is doing this and how I can make him stop?
Thanks

Answer
Amanda,

The odds are he is in puberty and is exhibiting one of the annoying behaviors of a whole male, i.e. marking territory by urinating (spraying).

It sounds to me as if he needs to be neutered!!!!!!!!!!

Also, anywhere he has urinated inappropriately, needs to be cleaned up with an enzyme based product specifically for pet stains and pet odors.

Best regards... Norm.
