Answer
Hi Emma.  You can try a product called Feliway to help reduce the tension between them.  I use the plug-in diffusers in my own home to reduce aggression.  See www.feliway.com to learn more about how it works.

You might also try using some flower essences to reduce the aggression on Zoe's part.  I like Spirit Essences because they were formulated by a widely respected holistic veterinarian, along with an animal behaviorist.  See www.spiritessences.com.  Their Bully Remedy formula would be good for Zoe.  You might consider purchasing the Ultimate Peacemaker package, which will give you Bully Remedy as well as Self-Esteem to give to your tabby, and a solution called Peacemaker to add to their water.  The essences can be given orally or put on the outside of their ears.

In the worst cases, aggressive cats can almost always be helped with antidepressants.  There are a number to choose from, but one that is gaining a lot of favor for helping aggressive cats is Clomicalm.  There are also fluoxetine (Prozac), buspirone and amitriptyline.  Most cats need treatment for only about 6 months, and then their treatment can be tapered off.  If your cat is extremely difficult to give an oral medication to, talk to the vet about a transdermal gel.  They can write a prescription for you so you can bring it to a compounding pharmacy (or send it to an online pharmacy) and have the medication made into a cream that gets massaged into the tip of the cat's ear once a day.

Good luck, I hope her behavior improves!
