Indoor Cat vs 5 Week Old Kitten

I have had My Cat Skittles(Girl) for 2 Years now and she has always been an inside cat... She hasn't been around other animals since she was just a couple months old... We have just gotten a 5 Weeks old female kitten, but Skittles hates it, She hisses every time the kitten gets close to her.. Is there a way i can get Skittles over her fear of other animals or something?

Adding a new cat always adds a little tension to the household. The hissing is normal. You just need to give Skittles a little time to get used to the new addition. Give her two weeks and see what happens. Also show Skittles a little more love and attention. This will also help. Good luck.
