Cat in my year

Question
For 40 yrs I have lived in a row home.  Less than 2 yrs ago a couple moved in with 3 beautiful cats. I don't care if she has a dozen cats but one of them loves to poop in my yard.  Is there anyway I can divert this cat from my yard?  I am 79 yrs old, never had a pet, but would never harm an animal.  Thanks for your reply.

Answer
Ethel,

Truthfully, I know of no cat repellents that work indoors, let alone out of doors.  There is no way to control where an outdoor cat poops.

The general statistics on feline longevity say that the average outdoor cat lives for 3-5 years (automibiles, other predators, and people are the major causes of death in outdoor cats).  Indoor cats often make it to 12-15 years.  Why am I telling you this?  Maybe you can convince your neighbors that the cat pooping in your yard would be better off inside than out of doors.

Sorry I cannot be of more help.

Best regards... Norm.
