Feeding my cat... but what?

Hello becky,
i have a question about feeding my cat,
because i am not sure what i should be
feeding him. what i mean is, i want to buy
a really good brand that is the best for my
little fuzz-face, but i just dont know what!
i live in holland, by the way :)

Hi Balthazar!

I visited Holland some years back and LOVED it!!  I am in the USA.  I traveled all over Europe, but The Netherlands had the nicest people and was the most enjoyable place I went to. You have a very beautiful country!

Now, about your cat.  I'm not sure what kinds of cat food you have there, but I think you might recognize these brands.  Science Diet,Iams,and Nutro is good, as is Purina ONE.  I like Purina ONE because I can buy it at a grocery store without having to go to a specialty pet shop.  The most important thing you can do is read the label.  The first things listed on the label is what the food mostly consists of.  If meat is the first thing, then the food is probably pretty good.  If grains, corn or anything else is first, then it has lots of "fillers" and is not as good.  Since I'm uncertain what brands you can find, I would go online and check out the different ones that you have access to and compare the ingredients.
