Question
I am thinking of adopting a yount 1-2 year old mother cat and
one of her kittens.   Do you think they could be long time loving
companions?  Should I get a male kitten to go with female
mother?   Some have told me the mother willl reject the kitten as
it grows up.

Thanks!

Answer
Go ahead and get the mom and her kitten. You don't need a male companion. In fcat you should have all your pets spayed or netered and gender won't matter at all. As for rejecting the kitten, I don't think so. They will grow with you in a loving home and it'll be fine. Many people have parent and child pets. Go ahead with your plan.
