Theres something wrong with my cat.

QUESTION: Hi my name is Matt and my cat used 2 have a big bump going from her side to her back. Now the bump seems to be gone but now she has a hole on her side. It is very deep also. She seems to be acting fine now but i don't know what to do at this point. Do you know what is happening to her and tell me what to do please?

If this is an abcess of any kind it may look healed and continue to fester and keep swelling and opening up. I still think that it is advisable for you to see a vet and have a vet look at her to make sure that if she has an infection it gets cleared up properly. If you sit on this too long sometimes an abcess can cause serious systemic issues or be a symptom of serious chronic health issues such as FIV and Feline Leukemia. FIV and Feline Leukemia are autoimmune disorders in cats, they are often spread by cats fighting with other cats outdoors and although there are treatments these cats often have a shorter life expectancy.
