Hi Lizzy,

No, I haven't ever heard of this and my initial reaction is that I wouldn't be sure that a product of this type would be safe to use on a cat.  Lots of human products are poisonous to cats and it could be dangerous to do this.  I'm not an expert on cat grooming but there is another category on this site for breeding and showing cats, where the experts include professional groomers.  I suggest asking the same question to one of them to see what they say.
