My cat stinks

I read a similar question.  My cat is about 18 and has hypothyroid (untreated) and has always been a runt. Now her fur smells, she leaks feces (or something) and also poops anywhere--sometimes in her litter box.  She is just generally unkept in appearance.  Strangely enough she is friendlier now than when she was healthy and seems to be eating okay.

If she is not taking care of herself properly, or is getting ill, her fur may smell.  She is quite geriatric at age 18.  I would have her to your vet to see what may be going on with her.  The smell and incontinence are not normal for any cat!
