Birth control for cats

Question
I understand there is a birth control for cats.  I have 2 females that are 5 years old and they have had 7 kittens within the last 8 weeks.  Now, they will be coming in heat again.  At the present time I cannot afford to get them spade, which is what I know I need to do and intend to do, but circumstances prevent me from doing so at the present time.  I had intended to take the kittens to the humane society but could not do that because more than likely they would be put to sleep and I cannot do that, so I have been giving them antibiotics and wormed them and hope to find homes for them.  In the meantime I would like to be able to get birthcontrol this time and by next time I will be able to get them spade.  I have heard of an orginzation that helps with the spaying if you have a low income and I would qualify but have to have time to get paperwork in, approved, etc and by that time my Mamas will be pregnant again.  Their names are Callie, a calio and Sally, a solid black.  I also have two inside cats, a female named Sweetie Pie, who is spade and a male, named Fluffy, who has been fixed.  Would appreciate the info.  Thank you.

Answer
Shirley,

Yes, there are birth control pills for cats.  I would only give them in conjunction with your veterinarian and as a short term treatment until your female is spayed.  You do not want to keep her on it long term.
