Siamese kitten with diarrhea

Question
I have a Siamese kitten under a year old, he has been having Diarrhea for 2 weeks now. When we brought him home from the breeders he was on Clavmox, but he has been off it for a couple of months now. He is being feed friskies wet food and purina one dry food, they get feed two times a day. I have 5 other cats so the food does get expensive. Whenever he goes to the bathroom it always only a little bit thats hes leaving on the carpet. he does have his shots. I never have this problem with any of my other cats and one of them is another pure breed Siamese from the same breeder, but different mom and dad. If you could maybe suggest a different type of food. He is eating and drinking water. I would greatly appreciate you for taking your time and answering me. Thanks

Answer
Jill,

Persistant diarrea especially for the length of time you describe needs to be assessed by your vet. It may or may not be related to feeding. Your vet will be able to assess your kitten for all of the possible medical reasons to have diarrea. If you have any further questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact me.
