cats feelings

I want to know if cats feelings are hurt when they have to be given up? If they have to go to a kennal do they feel abandon?

Cats do suffer separation anxiety from both people, other pet companions and their homes.  While cats are said to be more attached to territory than people, there is no direct evidence for this for indoor cats.

On the other hand, cats are very practical and make the best out of any situation.  If the separation is for a short time (like less than a week), there is little anxiety, especially if this has happened before and the cat returns to its normal home after the separation.
