Question
I have a cat that is going to have kittens probably withing the next couple of weeks or so and I have a baby kitten from another cat that neglected it as well as the six other kittens of which ended up dying.  I brought the remaining kitten to the house and the cat that I have here that is going to have kittens has adopted her.  The kitten sucks like she's getting milk.  My question is can a cat give milk while she's pregnant with kittens to this kitten?

Answer
Rhonda,

The milk usually drops about a 5 days to a week before the kittens are due.  So, yes the baby kitten is getting milk.  As long as mama is eating well and getting enough calcium, all should be well for nursing her brood.

Best regards... Norm.
