winter is coming

Hi!  We have a cat who adopted us.  He has a home, but they don't really take care of him.  It's starting to get cold and the poor little guy is freezing.  We don't want him in the house and don't want him to freeze.  What can you tell me about "winterizing" Princess Max?

A good way of protecting an outside cat or dog from the cold weather is to get a big dog kennel, line it with an old comforter and then put a heating pad under the comforter.  set the heating pad on the highest level so the heat will be able to get through the thick comforter.  

Put the dog kennel under something such as your carport to protect everything from getting wet if it rains. Then you need to cover metal door with some plastic sheeting to prevent the wind from blowing into the kennel.  You dont need to cover the ventilation holes, the cat still needs to have some ventilation.
