Question
Hello, currently I have a very beautiful female cat that is about five years old. She is very loving and usually very calm. But last night me and a couple of friends were playing and he had a random pair of rabbit ears, well he put the on and when he walked into the living room she actually got so scared that ran to the nearest window and was tring to break out. When she couldn't she was so scared the she pee and pooped her self. She started to make this really weird sound for a while untill she finally calmed down. Now it seem she is still scared, constantly looking around, hideing, and is just very tense. I was wandering can a cat be phsycologicaly affected by this kind of event, or will she eventually get over it.

Answer
Hi Gary,

She got a good scare there. She will get over it but it's going to take time. Do not let anything frighten again. This will make it worse. Also get a product called Feliway. Spray it around the house. It acts as a kitty tranquilizer and will help your cat relax. Good luck.

Ciao, Karen
