My cat wont stop meowing!

My husband and I have had our male cat Aubie for about a year now. He meows ALL of the time! Day and night, but mostly at night. At first we thought it was b/c there might be a female cat outside, so we got him netured, hoping that would help. Well he's calmed down a lot but the meowing and whining hasn't stopped. We can't sleep at night. We don't close the bedroom door or anything-he has free range to roam around, so we really don't understand what it is that he's wanting! Locking him in the bathroom doesn't help, his food stays out so I know it's not that he's hungry, we've even closed the bedroom door, but he just whines louder. Please help!

It sounds like you have a talker on your hands. There isn't much you can do about him if he is. There is one thing that might work though. Get him a friend. Another cat should take care of your problem. He needs attention and with another cat he won't feel lonely. If you decide to get another cat write back and I will tell you the best way to introduce them. Good luck.
