Question
Hi..
i have a half breed  female siamese kitten 4 months old
her mother is pure siamese and father is feral cat. LOL :)
if my  female siamese cross with feral cat is there possible to give a siamese kitten?
or how many percent..??

Answer
Raymond,

I am assuming your female does not have the Siamese pattern.  She will, however, carry the Siamese pattern gene. The Siamese gene is a recessive, so, unless the male carries the Siamese gene, it is unlikely you would get kittens with the Siamese pattern.  If she were bred to a Siamese you could expect 50% of the kittens to have the Siamese pattern. If she is bred to a male carrying the Siamese gene, you could expect 25% of the kittens to have the Siamese pattern.  Unfortunately, cats have not read the genetics books, so these percentages, although theoretic, may not be what nature has in mind.

Best regards... Norm.
