Cat Castrated

I just had my cat castrated Friday, when i brought him home Saturday morning, the first thing he did was use his litter box, and he peed - a lot. Well its been 2 days, and he doesnt look that swollen, but he's have trouble peeing, its like little spots here and there. Should i be concerned?

Hi Stephanie, Thank you for the question, and yes, I would be concerned. When a cat is neutered they usually bounce back very very quickly and by the next morning they behave as if nothing had happened. In your case it sounds like he might have a bladder infection... or even some bladder stones. Is there any blood colour to the urine? Nonetheless I would take him back to where you had him neutered and get him checked out. Teresa
