My female kitten licking us.

I was just wondering why would our 5 month old female kitten want to lick us know and then is it maybe that she want to suckle or are female kittens like that as our male cat was not like that when he was a kitten? Another question we feed our cats Hill's science plan and we got a hill's measuring cup which tell you exactly how much you must feed as per there cup but I did a test the other day actually weighing the cup on it's own then I zero the weight then i actually weighed exactly how much there 25grams are it it actually nearly 37grams in stead of the actual 25grams stated on the cup must I use there measurement on the cup or should I just measure the right amount of food?

Hi Hannes.  It could be that she wants to suckle, especially if she is trying to find a spot to hold onto.  But most kitties lick as a form of social bonding.  You see it a lot between cats, and some extend it to humans as well.  Once in a while, it could be because she likes the taste of a lotion or something you're wearing, but most likely, she's just taking good care of you!

As for the food, weight is usually the most accurate measurement.  The lines on the cup may be printed slightly off mark.  But I would contact Hill's directly about this one, just in case.
