Eating & drinking too much

Hi Barb,
My 19 year old cat has begun constantly eating and drinking. She howls at dawn to be let in, to be fed. Is this a sign of Kidney disease or Diabetes?
If you could answer this queastion it would be great!

First of all, what is a 19 year old cat doing 'OUT'...  She should be kept in the house and pampered during her last days on earth.  They need a heating pad an comfy places to sleep when they get older.  

Now, yes, eating and drinking constantly is a sympton of Diabetes.  You need to get her to the vet's office as soon as possible!  Dying from untreated Diabetes, is a horrible way to die.  Please, I urge you to get her the help she needs.  Good luck and write again if you need help.
