mating in spayed cat

My female cat has been spayed for about a year.  She is acting like a cat in heat and even let another cat mate with her.  Would she allow this if she is not fertile?

I would not think she is fertile.  However, it sounds as if the vet who did the spay job did not get everything at first.  A vet can do a hormone test and see what the hormone levels are.  It may be that she needs to be opened up again and anything left behind after the first spay job be removed <sigh>!!!!!
