my momma cat had kittens

QUESTION: my Mama cat was pregnant I told everyone not to let her outside. But she was going out through the dryer vent that I have not yet got a hose for.lol so the kittens are outside somewhere. I have 2 questions. one would she have these kittens in tall grass? and will the heat from the outdoors harm the kittens. I have tried to find them but I'm not having much luck. It has been 2 days now. I have tried to follow her and she wont go nowhere.

ANSWER: Hi Donna, The heat will not hurt the kittens. It will be good for them. She could have had the kittens anywhere, even in tall grass. She would have them anyplace that she felt would be a safe place. Is she not leaving your house at all?? You said she wasn't going anywhere....
This makes me think that the kittens may have died, otherwise she would be going to them and taking care of them every few hours. Teresa

QUESTION: Hi Teresa, You were right. My mama cat had her kittens under the trialer up in some insolation. I had my husand get under there yesterday and get them. There are 5 this is here very first litter I was surprised she had that many. anyway I think she is much happer to know they are in the house in a Box then having to crawl under the trailer to take care of them... thank you very much for your help..

Hey Congratulations "granny" :)
She is doing very well if she is taking care of 5 kittens ! and she had them in a nice safe place (well in her mind it was safe.. from dogs etc)
She will be happier inside. Check the kittens for fleas. You don't want to bring any in the house!
