pussy yellowish stuff

My cat has yellowish pussy stuff coming out(I think her privates). What is it is it a sign of labor? It has been 8 weeks and I don't know when she is going to deliver. She is a long hair calico and I don't know if I should cut her hair around her privates or just leave her. She is my barn cat if that makes a difference.I love her very much and I am excited for the kittens. Please help you are my last resort. thank you!! Alexandra Doyle

Sounds like some pre-labor vaginal discharge to me. That means that you could be expecting kittens within as little as 72 hours! How exciting.

I recommend moving your cat into the house with you for the duration of her pregnancy, and for 12 weeks after birth. It will help the kittens become better socialized and make better companion animals!

You may leave her hair as is, but make sure you brush the area to avoid matting of the fur. If there are mats in the fur, carefully trim them away.
