Quarreling Cats

Question
I have two cats, Rascal and Lucky.  Rascal decided to start some trouble last night by tearing somethings up that she found lying around (I just moved into my apartment).  Somehow at 3am she got wrapped in some plastic and couldn't get it off which I guess spooked her and so trying to shake it off she sprinted back and forth through the apartment shrieking and scaring Lucky.  I finally found her under my desk hiding.  Thankfully she is okay.  The problem is, Lucky won't come near Rascal without hissing and clawing at her.  At 430am I woke up to hear Lucky atacking Rascal sending her back under my desk.  Before I went to work, Rascal was still there.  I figured while I was gone, the two would make amends but I found Rascal still under the desk this evening.  I moved the desk and brought her out to the food, water, and litter box, but Lucky hissed the entire time.  She has continously pushed Rascal around the kitchen and living room and I can't imagine what is going to happen tonight when I go to bed and can't defend Rascal anymore.  Is this a permanent thing?  I can't have a bully cat beating up on the other one...any suggestions?

Answer
Separate the cats for a few nights, and continue to scold Lucky whenever she intimidates Rascal. You should be able to get them back to being friendly.

If they are not spayed, you will have a harder time getting them to be friendly. Unspayed females are very, very aggressive toward one another, and they will scent mark like males do.

Good luck!
