discoloration around male cats nipple

I have a 7 year old male Chocolate Point Siamese.  I have noticed that he has a strange colored ring around one of his nipples.  There is no lump or anything unusual at all in feeling the area.  In fact, the nipple itself is tiny and can hardly be felt.  We just had to euthanize his sister a couple of weeks ago when she began having labored breathing from aggressive breast cancer diagnosed in March.  Even though the vet said we caught her cancer very early, there was nothing we could do that would prolong her life.  So I'm a little freaked out by this development in my male.

I don't think that this is cancer related but to be on the safe side I would strongly suggest that you have your veterinarian assess your little guy. There are a number of things that can cause discolorations like you describe and your veterinarian is the best possible person to diagnose and if needed treat any issue with your precious boy!
