leaving cat for 10 days

Question
this is my first time ever having a pet cat.my cat's name is chip and he is 7 months old. he is very friendly and affectionate not only with me but also with my mother and father (we all live together). next month we have to leave for 10 days and i was planning to leave him with my aunt and her family. she has no other pets but they are all very fond of him. do you think i should be worried about him getting depressed? also maybe its relevant he will have been neutered for only 2 weeks when we leave him.

Answer
Sihon,

Chip should be OK.  They usually bounce back from neutering in a few days, so two weeks is ample time to get over the surgery.

At 7 months, Chip will probably look on the stay with your aunt as an adventure.  He may be a bit shy the first couple of days, but he should warm up, especially since he knows the people. The important thing is to show Chip where the litter pan is (actually put him in it) at your aunt's house.

Yes, I think Chip will do just fine during your absence.

Best regards... Norm.
