my kitten cries when she poops

i adopted a kitten two days ago, she is between eight and ten weeks old. she is litter trained, eating soft canned cat food, and very well behaved. she doesn't normally cry, except occasionally if she's spooked or if i pick her up suddenly. but whenever she gets in her litterbox to actually poop, she cries non-stop while doing it, until she has finished. this is a little detailed- but her poop isn't hard, but it's not runny either, just "normal" soft poop. i don't know what's wrong with her, if this is normal, or if i should take her to the vet. any suggestions? is this a commmon kitten problem?

well I wouldn't worry just yet. cats can be very funny things when it comes to using the litter tray. My own cat who is 16 years old cries afterwards as if she is embarrassed.

It could simply be that as she is so young she is still using the cries she would have used with her mother to let her know where she is.

As long as she is able to use the litter tray and is passing normal stools and she is well in every other aspect i wouldn't worry, she will probably grow out of the behaviour.
