what to do about shedding

Question
We love our three cats (an American shorthair and her son and daughter with medium length hair). They are beautiful, healthy, and lovely, but since they're indoor cats, their hair can be found everywhere! I brush them 2-3/week and feed a good food (Iams)yet the shedding problem persists, especially in warm weather months. Their hair seems to float in the air and  bothers me most when it enters the food preparation area of the kitchen.I can't seem to keep it out though I try to be vigilant.  The kitchen is in a central location, and I spend a lot of time there--and so do they since they tend to follow me everywhere in the house. I've tried giving them supplements such as Mrs. Shedd's in their food, but they refuse to eat as soon as they detect something "foreign" their food. Any advice you can give me about dealing with this problem will be most appreciated.

Answer
there really isnt much you can do about it. i personally use air purifiers, they get alot of the hair.try moving the cats food dishes out of the kitchen, try keeping them out of the kitchen as much as possible by not having things in there that they would want. sorry i couldnt be more help, but there just isnt a whole lot you can do that you arent already doing, brushing them daily might help.
