Two female cats and kittens...

Question
I have 4 cats, 2 male and 2 female (Sassy and Angel). Both female cats ended up pregnant around the same time. Sassy had her litter, Angel is still expecting. We made a video called "We have 2 mommy's" and thought it was cute at the time. Sassy wouldn't let the males near the kittens however she did let Angel in. They bonded like one big happy family. Sassy and Angel are sister cats so I didn't think nothing of it at the time. However, now Angel keeps taking Sassy's babies and hiding them in the house.I am finding this a problem as she acts like the babies are hers and they're not. Is there any way to break Angel from doing this?

Answer
Tamara,

Well, there is not much you can do about who is going to care for whose babies.  I would confine the two mothers to one room and not let them have the run of the house.  Kitten stealing is a very common ocurrance among females who are both pregnant and/or nursing (or one of each) and cannot readily be broken.

You might try confining Sassy and letting Angel in after Angel has had her kittens, so that, if Angel does steal kittens, she is already lactating.

Best regards... Norm.
