My 5 year old cat Max

My male cat has had a discharge coming from his eye that is black.  His eye hasn't been red and it doesn't seem to bother him.  Today his eye is red and swollen and he keeps squinting although the black discharge is gone.  He looks very uncomfortable.  I put some Baush and Laub drops in his eye.  It isn't helping.  Any ideas?

Please get your cat to your vet immediately.  Eye problems are not to be fooled with!!!!!  If left untreated or treated incorrectly, it could develop into something really problematic.

BTW, for flushing cat's eyes, we like a product called Refresh.
