Moving momma and new-born kittens

Question
Hi!

We had one of our 2 tamed female outdoor cats, who we think is about 1 year old give birth overnight, we think the kittens are 6-18 hours old (the kittens are dry, momma is still wet), now, normally, there would be no problem... EXCEPT, for the birthplace.

she decided to give birth inside our 1995 Red Ford Windstar, on the back seat, without anything under her, or around her, how do we move her and the kittens into the house to safety so we can go out today (the 20th of march)? (Not to mention that one or more of the kittens could fall off the seat...)

Thanks!

Answer
Hi Jessica,

Sorry to get back to you so late. My Internet was down. Put them in a box lined with towels and move them to a closet floor in the house in a bedroom. Leave the door to the closet open a little bit. Close the bedroom door. This should be fine. And if she tries to move them from there you will have an easy job of finding them. Good luck.

Ciao, Karen
